A fascinating question from John who runs a web site www.GenerationalDynamics.com
What do you really believe? Specifically, how do you reconcile the message of your IHT article with the message of “The Third World War”? Do you regard your book as just fiction? Or do you regard your news articles as just doing what you have to do to satisfy an audience?
The IHT article Click here: Peace? Try the Taiwan Template — IHT suggested that instead of attacking Chinese businesses, Tibetans should take a leaf out of Taiwan’s book and forge business links which will raise living standards and naturally create openess, while the Chinese should be more relaxed about Tibetan culture and politics. In other words, both sides should become more high trust. The Third World War was the story about how high trust politics failed, betrayal and self-interest prevailed leading to massive destruction.
The answer, John, is, not only, that the Third World War is fiction but also it tries to anticipate the causes. China-Tibet is a reality and Taiwan can be used as an example of how to avoid a Third World War-style catastrophe. A previous fictional book Dragonfire did begin on the flash-point of a Tibetan uprising.
