Indians are proud of their position as key partners of the United States while many remain wary of China. Some observers suggest that by courting Washington, India will force through new strategic alignments that could dramatically change the global balance of power. So where could it all lead? India a strategic ally of Israel? Pakistan searching for new friends? A Chinese watch over India‘s influence in Burma and Nepal? All this with India, China and Russia jostling for position as each becomes stronger?
