I am half way through production of The Prying Game , a TV film that was partly inspired from my research of The History Book. It looks at the surveillance gadgets that might be around a few years from now and how they could be used. It has an interview with Dr Tony Tether, the director of the US military Defense Advance Research Projects Agency DARPA (www.darpa.mil) whose job is to make sure the US is always ahead in defense technology, and it asks whether we want more or less intrusion into our personal lives. For those of you who have seen The Bourne Ultimatum (www.thebourneultimatum.com), I can say that Jason Bourne and his pursuers were working in the technological stone age compared to what will be used soon. Some of the revelations are in The History Book and the film’s due to be aired on the BBC www.bbcworld.com next month.

Great to have THE PRYING GAME TITLE to search on BBC.com/schedules. Since programs air differently in the States, the title is a terrific help.
